Building Awareness, Learning and Bonding in a Fun way
180 pax in 3 different countries, 30 teams, managed by 5 facilitators; connected with the vision and value of their company and had fun… despite being in lock down due to the global pandemie.
THE OUTCOME:
180 people organised in 30 teams engaged
The workshop scored higher than any of the usual training and team building workshops - based on the client internal assessment tool
THE CHALLENGE:
How do you make people feel more connected to each other and to their company…when you have zoom fatigue and working from home is starting to get very old?
How do you engage people in upgrading their skills when a zoom meeting and slides…feel like the best way to stay in a vegetative state on a couch and turn off your camera to work on what seems more priority at that moment?
THE STORY
The last time someone asked for advices on an online team building exercise on the Linkedin platform...he got 342 answers :) And I have to say I got the chance, thanks to Ruben Hamilius and his business games to facilitate one of the best of that list!
Science has proven that people understand and remember knowledge when they engage with it, in a gamified way. They also build stronger bond when they go through experiences together, not just by looking at slides.
When Business Games reached out to us to be part of one of its highly engaging, highly immersive, French English speaking online game for a chemical company, we were thrilled!
180 pax, 30 teams, managed by 5 facilitators found water melon in a market, sang like Freddie, draw with Coffee and Wine bottle (yes, yes I promise they did) and of course discussed and connect with the vision and value of their company.
2 best parts for me:
- Working with a chatbot that was automating all the repeated tasks so that us facilitators could focus on really coaching our teams to increase cooperation.
- Managing at the same time 4 teams in French and 1 in English
The collaboration was a success, and we have been working with Business Games on an FMNC, a Beauty Product and a French Government Service since then.
