Nursery Art Project

THE CHALLENGE

Helping expecting parents and families welcome a new family member and experience an interactive journey at the comfort of their homes during this pandemic.

THE OUTCOME

A unique and personalised journey where they managed to get...

  • A reflective time together, a time for clarification of the family values.

  • A unique art project where they were part of the co-creation process.

  • A healthy nursery with a paint, innovated in Singapore, that cleans the air from volatile compounds! Yes exactly!

  • Art that will make a healthier environment!

  • A beautiful way to welcome a new family member. Imagine...Sharing about the art each evening with their baby, can even become a family bed ritual!

THE STORY

With the pandemic, Art Festivals and major events are currently at standstill. It’s no surprise that people are feeling restless and are looking for ways to somehow live vicariously through memories and past experiences. It’s exactly because of these thoughts that a couple that was soon going to be first-time parents, approached Anne-Laure to do exactly that in their new-born’s nursery.

Having seen Anne-Laure’s work at multiple art festivals before, this expecting parents knew she was going to be the right fit. Merging her two worlds, Art and creative consulting, Anne-Laure elevated their nursery painting experience. Instead of simply painting something, she brought these soon-to-be parents on a beautiful journey. It started with a mini workshop where she helped with identifying their family values. After narrowing it down to five, they worked on identifying symbols that are associated with their family values. AL then prepared a mock up where they were fully involved in the feedback and finally… the painting began.

"With your help we were able to go on a journey which was amazing because it was the first time we got to actualise our values that we wanted to bring from ourselves into our family. From there, with your help we were able to re-imagine them in the form of animals!" a note from a very happy soon-to-be parent.
